IRVINGTON HIGH SCHOOL: January PSAT Canceled

Istock 000037773506 medium

Irvington High School issued the following announcement on Jan. 6

Due to concerns related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic Fremont Unified School District will not be able to offer the PSAT as previously scheduled on January 26, 2021. As a community we want to ensure the health and safety of our students and employees. Schools were hopeful that the number of cases of COVID-19 would be reduced when we planned for the January administration, however that is not the case. Alameda County remains in the purple tier and is currently under a regional stay at home order.

The registration fee will be fully refunded.

We planned to offer the PSAT in order to help FUSD students qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program. The National Merit Scholarship Program and College Board are offering an alternate method for this recognition by submitting SAT scores. Please review this information on how to proceed. Students will need to complete an Alternate Entry Form through the National Merit Scholarship Corporation by April 1, 2021. Please visit the College Board website for more information and to register for an upcoming SAT administration in the spring. https://www.collegeboard.org/
