  • Safe Parking Strategy: To better address the needs of people living in their vehicles, the City of Fremont is launching a Safe Parking Strategy. The Strategy will recommend different programmatic options that the City could pursue to offer safe and sanitary areas where homeless residents residing in vehicles could park. The City has created a 5-minute survey for residents to complete in the month of December.

  • Climate Action Plan Update: The City of Fremont is in the process of updating Fremont’s Climate Action Plan (CAP) to create a healthier, safer, and more livable community for all. The City is planning for a future that addresses climate change, improves quality of life, promotes equity, and bolsters resiliency throughout Fremont. A new online forum is now available until the end of January for community members to weigh in on the proposed climate action measures.

  • Parks and Recreation Master Plan: The City of Fremont is creating a new comprehensive Parks and Recreation Master Plan to provide guidance on how to meet the demands for future recreational, programming, environmental, and maintenance needs, as well as to establish priorities for facility improvements, future park development, and land acquisitions. Three virtual public input meetings were held during the summer, with a survey now underway for residents to provide valuable input.
